10. Smoking is ilegal-
yes, you read it correctly you cannot smoke cigerate in bhutan. Every country in the world is very serious about smoking side effects and many countries have imposed heavy taxes on tobaco products but still lakhs of people smoke it daily but in the year 2010 the king of bhutan officially banned cigerates and other tobaco products according to this law no one in bhutan can harvest tobaco and sell it. if you do it you can face strict punishment by law.



9. No helpless people-
Bhutan is one of the few nations where not a single citizen of a nation is homeless here everyone is wealthy enough to have their own house if anyone is homeless he can go to their king and ask for help and the government provide them a plot where they can build thier house and also gets enough land to harvest and earn from it, also all the citizens of bhutan have free medical facilities the government aims to make their health care best in the world and in some sense they have suceed it and they have choice to choose whether they want to do classical treatment or traditional the best thing is the both of them are free for every citizen .



8. Isolated-
You will be amazed knowing that till 1974 the country of bhutan was fully isolated no visitor from outiside of bhutan was allowed to visit their country and they have no idea whats happening in the other parts of world even till 1999 tevelvision and internet waa oficially banned from the king they take their culture and tradition very seriously and they do not want to change it but it was impossible in the modern world so they lifted the ban and bhutan becomes the last remaning country to start using television.



7. Airport-
you will be shocked knowing that there is only one airport in the whole countrry which is very beautiful too but as its very near to himalayan mountains its very dangerous too and only those pilots who are well trained and experienced are allowed to land on this airport there are only 8 pilots in the world who have permission to take off land on bhutans airport and this airport functions only during daytime after the sunset the airport is completley closed.



6.100% Organic-
All the vegetables, fruits and grains that are produced in the country are 100% organic because the king have imposed ban on using and selling of chemical products in the country and its illegal by law to use and sell chemical products they use all organic products.



5. women Empowerment-
Almost every country in the world give much honour to womes and talk about women empowerment but bhutan is one step ahead of all these countries According to bhutanese tradition after the death of father all the money and properties should be inherit by a girl child not by boy ,The male child have to earn his wealth by own. Also bhutanese womens are not allowed to marry outside of bhutan that means they can marry only bhutani natinonals by law.



4. Nature
Bhutan is one of the very few countries in the world that are serious about nature’s conservations. According to their law 60% of the countries land should be covered by trees and forest and greenary should prevail everywhere in the country. Bhtan is the only carbon negative country in the world.



3. Ministry of Happiness-
you must have heard about ministry of health, ministry of finance and many more but have you ever heard of ministry of happiness. In the year 2008 the government of bhutan created Gross National Happiness comittee which aims to make sure that every citizen of bhutan is happy. They call it GNA (Gross National Happiness) according to bhutans government like the growth of GDP is important for the growth of country similarly GNA is also important for their growth. In the year 2011 they did a survey on GNA in which 91% of the total population of bhutan said that they are very happy.



2. Tourist-
you will be shocked knowing that its very difficult to travel bhutan even in the modern world also its very expensive for tourists to travel around bhutan. You can visit there with a group of 3 or more if you are a couple or solo traveller you have to pay extra fees . you can get bhutans visa only by governmet authorised companies and you have to pay all amount in advance in order to get the visa.



1. Road Signal
All the road sings in bhutan are drawn by hand .The capital of bhutan, Timphu is the world’s only capital without road signals not only the capital the whole country runs without road signal. The traffic police of bhutan controls all the traffic manually.
